BTS is a group that I accidently found, and their debut left a lasting impression on me. I remember the moment I first heard of them, and how it caught my attention instantly. Back then BTS is not very famous, BTS debuted under Big Hit Entertainment, a small company at the time. Hence, meant they didn't have the same resources or backing as the groups from larger, more established companies. The were up against giants in the K-pop industry, group from massive companies like SM, YG, and JYP, who already had massive fanbase and powerful marketing strategies.
In fact they come from the small company, BTS didn't let this hold them back. The fought their way through the struggles of being an underdog, and in doing so, they built a strong foundation for themselves. Their music wasn't just about catchy song, it was about their story. The members each brought something unique, from RM's leadership and incredible rap skills to Jungkook's powerhouse vocals. As a group, they exuded a sense of individuality and authenticity that made them stand out in the crowded K-pop industry.
BTS debuted song were "No More Dream" in 2013, the world was introduced to a group of seven talented, passionate young men with something to say. The song wasn't just catchy, it was bold. BTS message of breaking free from societal expectations and questioning the path that society sets for you hit really hard for me. The powerful rap verses, the aggressive beats, and the defiance in thier voices left a mark. This song were the song that make me want to stan this group until now.
In BTS my bias would be JUNG HOSEOK or his stage name is J-HOPE. When I first watched "No More Dream" music video, J-Hope instantly caught my attention. His energy was off the charts, from his powerful rap to his charismatic stage presence, he stood out in a way that made me want to know more. Even though all the were incredible, J-Hope positivity and passion left a lasting impression on me. What truly made J-Hope my bias was his authenticity. His dedication to dance, his infectious laughter, and his never ending drive to improve are just a few things that make him stand out. As BTS'S 'HOPE', his positive attitude shines through everything he does. His journey from a trainee to one of the best performers in the world is something that inspires me to chase my dreams withe the same passion and perseverance.
J-Hope passion in his music carrier were impossible to ignore. When I first listened to "Daaydream", I immediately felt a sense of connection to the song's themes. J-Hope talks about the dream-like state of being an artist, where the highs of fame and the challenges that comes with it feel like they exist in a different world. As someone who has always dreamed big, J-Hope's reflections on his ambitions and his struggles with the reality of fame resonated deeply. The line "I'm just a dreamer" hit me hard because it remind me that we all have dreams, no matter how distant they may seem, and it's okay to embrace those dreams even if they feel impossible.
Being an ARMY (BTS fandom name) isn't just about the music, it's about the community, the messages, and the constant reminder to stay true to who you are. BTS taught me the power of self-love, the importance of mental health, and how to chase after dreams without fear. Their impact on me is immeasurable, and I know I'M not alone in this. The BTS ARMY is a family that's spread across the world, bound by these powerful messages.
