The Journey Begins: MAW

 

On 28th September 2024 was the day that I registered as a student in UKM. My family send me all the way from Putrajaya to Kolej Keris Mas in UKM. From react of their face they were really proud that I get to further my studies here in UKM. After the registered, we all need to gather at Dewan Besar KKM around 4;30 p.m. This is because there is welcome speech from Principal and Vice Principal of Kolej Keris Mas. We also get to known with the felo, mep, and facilitator during the gathering. After the speech we all get a merchandise from our college its contains backpack, hand fan, shawl, MAW t-shirt, and college t-shirt. The hand fan is a trust item that we need to take care of during orientation week.

Day two, 29th September 2024. We all need to gather at dectar for a talk with Doc Zam. The mc during this talk was Fizo Omar and he is so talented and also easy going. The talk is full of educational purpose and also its full with motivation. This was my very first time to get to see Doc Zam and Fizo Omar in one frame. Doc Zam is really thoughtful person and he also inspired me to chase my dream. From the talk we all get to know that Doc Zam came from a fisher family and he is really are an inspiring person. Even though he came from a simple family he still studied hard so that he could honor the names of his both parents. Doc Zam also known as a generous person at his home town which at Pulau Pangkor. The people there truly adore Doc Zam because he kind of person that will help people in needs.

During night we all get gather together at dectar for "UKM BERSELAWAT DEMIMU PALESTIN". During this talk UKM invited Ustaz Dr. H. Das'ad Latif who were alumni in UKM. In his lecture "Demimu Palestin", Ustaz Dr. H. Das'ad Latif encouraged the audience to always be grateful for the blessings that Allah SWT has given in this life. By listening to the talk by Ustaz Dr. H. Das'ad Latif, it has provided some enlightenment to me to always be thankful and not to complain in any situation. Not only that, from this lecture I also realized that every time we being tested, we need to remember that Allah SWT always there for us. He also reminded all the students to make use of knowledge to build their faith, and that knowledge should be accompanied by "amar ma'ruf" (encouraging good) and "nahi mungkar" (forbidding evil). In other words, it is about calling others to do good and preventing wrongdoing.

 

Day three 30 September 2024. This was me and my friend Wafa before we going for a "Langkah Watan" to Dectar. For me this was the best thing I've ever done after diploma since I really enjoyed morning walk. We all walked from Kolej Keris Mas To Dectar all together with the fasilitator. But before we start our walk we all get to warming up first at Dataran Gemilang and then we together with "Pengurusan tertinggi UKM" walk around UKM untill we reach the final point. This "Langkah Watan" is for encouraging the practice of living healthy among student.

After "Langkah Watan" we entered Dectar and get ready to listen a talk from the "Alumni Tersohor". From this talk I get to know that all the alumni had been working hard to achieve what they have now. One of the alumni was the founder of "Bulan Bintang" Encik Azzim Zahid. He share his journey as UKM student when he first started his business where it all begin. From this talk, I found that they are not ordinary people in the field that they are involved in. They are all have their own charisma and get to inspired many student that listen to this talk.

         

At night we all get to joined "Megafit Batik" or in others word we get to aerobic together at the stadium. This "Megafit Batik" make all of his participant wearing batik for this aerobic program. Not only that, this program also get verified by "Malaysia Book of Records" for "Most Participant Wearing Batik in Aerobic Program. It such a great memory after all get to involved in this program with my fellow friends.

Day four 1 October 2024. The day that I officialy become a student at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The day that all the journey begin. During this talk I get so overwhelmed that I get to studied here in my dream university. 

Last but not least, "Minggu Aspresiasi Watan" was end with "Perang Dectar".
